Dogs don’t hate cats just because their cats and cats are not scared of dogs as most people would like to believe. Cats and dogs don’t understand each other very much. They have different likes, habits, and quirkiness. Dogs are more physical, while cats are observant. But just like what most pet-lovers claim, cats and dogs can live together.

Dogs by nature love to chase anything that runs – from squirrels to bikes and cars. It’s their hunting instincts kicking in. When a cat sees a dog, it flees away. So you get the picture.

Also, the species communicate differently. If a cat’s tail is twitching, it’s showing annoyance. But for a dog to wag its tail ferociously, it means that it’s happy. Hence if a dog mistook a cat’s tail ‘wagging’ as playfulness and charge to play; he may end up receiving a swipe in their nose. Eventually, cats learned to distrust dogs after being chased playfully way too many times.
