Recently, Big Poppa’s photo went viral. Most likely, it’s because his mood represents how millions of people across the globe currently feel because of the lockdown. Look at his picture and say you couldn’t relate.

Rashida Ellis, from Atlanta, U.S., has a three-year-old English bulldog named Pop. He is also known as Big Poppa. A few days ago, Rashida uploaded her dog’s picture, looking like he was so sorry for himself. To Rashida’s surprise, the post blew up.

On the Twitter post’s caption, Rashida said that Big Poppa was very sad that day. She believed that her adorable dog missed playing with the kids in their building. All Big Poppa could do was watch the children from the patio.

Rashida also posted the same photo on Instagram account. This time, she used a caption from her dog’s perspective and said that all he wanted to do was play with the kids in their building. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic, he can’t. He then begged the people to flatten the curve.

The original Twitter post received hundreds of thousands of likes. It even caught the attention of some Hollywood stars like the renowned TV host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and Maisie Williams from the hit television series Game of Thrones.

Rashida admitted that the photo’s immense popularity surprised her. However, she understands that with the current situation, it is very much relatable. Rashida believes that the picture earned so much attention not only because Big Poppa was sad and cute or that people want to change the situation for him. It’s also because we are all in the same boat and everyone wants to change the situation for themselves, too.

As a costume designer, Rashida’s life has turned upside down since the pandemic broke out. Instead of creating clothes for TV shows and movies, she now creates outfits at home that she sells online. Although her dog doesn’t have a job to lose, Rashida could tell how lonely he is. Hopefully, things will soon go back to how they used to be, so Pop can play outside and feel happy again.
